China Children's Press & Publication Group held MPR national standards application demonstration press conference

The 10th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair opened to visitors in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on 15th May. China Children’s Press and Publication Group (CCPPG) held a press conference on demonstration of digital reading applying the MPR national standards in Hall 7.
Li Xueqian, president of the CCPPG gave an introduction to the project of the demonstration of MPR standards application. He believed that digital publishing is necessary in the development of Children’s publishing.
Advantages that CCPPG have in traditional publication such as rich categories, large circulation and wide coverage, and its capability in all-media publishing and promotion that it gains from years’ experience in digital publishing, provide a solid foundation for its upgrade to digital publishing. And the reason why CCPPG becomes one of the first users of MPR technology is that MPR technology enhances copyright protection and improve the standardization level so that products can be used with different terminal devices.
To promote the MPR standards, CCPPG will install MPR related software system so as to use the MPR technology to integrate children’s books and periodicals, develop children’s reading products applying MPR standards and create an MPR children’s publishing database.
In addition, CCPPG will develop its own branded MPR reading devices and launch marketing activities via channels like libraries, bookstores and internet, hoping to increase the market share and user amount of MPR reading devices and MPR publication.
